Dr. Nate Zinsser
During the last 25 years, the science of applied sport psychology; how attitudes, beliefs and thinking habits affect human performance; has emerged as a valuable tool for training the modern athlete. One method used by U.S. Olympic athletes to build this goal-directed, optimistic mentality is the daily use of audio or CD recordings that help guide them in mentally rehearsing their ideal performance. Dr. Nate Zinsser has been directing a successful proven program of applied sport psychology training at the United States Military Academy (West Point), for many years.
This training program was a significant factor for four U.S. athletes, he worked with, who earned the United States first Olympic bobsled medals in 46 years at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
Tom Muzila
Tom Muzila a fifth degree black belt (the highest awarded) in Shotokan Karate has been training and teaching for 40 years. He has taken the theme of optimum peak performance mental states, beyond previous limits in what he has accomplished. He has established over 25 world record karate endurance feats, using these same concepts and principles.
Muzila and Dr. Zinsser produced a very successful Mind-Set karate training CD. Now they have created a specially programmed soccer CD, which has been approved by top professional soccer coaches. Now practitioners are able to get the maximum out of their soccer ability, mentally, physically, strategically and technically.
These audio CD’s are based on the principle that the mind leads the body, that your soccer practice is an expression of your mentality, (hence the term “MindSet”). Regular use of these CD’s can enhance your soccer practice by working directly on the thoughts and images that influence your actions and reactions. The CD’s can incredibly heighten you soccer playing performance, no matter what your age or where your ability level is at. They will help a professional, club, recreation, or a parent’s child to push themselves beyond all previous limits. Just make a commitment
to listen to the CD’s at least 20 minutes a day for at least 30 days. The more one listens to it, with a more concentrated and focused mentality, the more they will get out of it. These renewed mental, technical and physical heightened abilities will be exhibited in their soccer games and practices. The soccer CD’s are broken down into four different types, depending on what position one plays; offense, defense, midfield and goalie.
